"Dona Nobis Pacem"

All the sea creatures

swim in harmony, in our mighty oceans.

The giant trees in the forest stand peacefully together.

Their roots entwine around each other

so that they can stand tall and be strong.

The trees shelter each other from the winds.

Their sky is shared with our feathered friends.

And when the wind blows

they share one song-

that song is peace.

Can you imagine peace in the world?

Can you imagine living together

in harmony

as the mighty forests and the oceans?

Can you imagine no wars?

Can you imagine love and harmony for all?

Can you imagine a gigantic circle of paws and hands,

encircling our beloved world?

I can.

Today, I am taking part in “BlogBlast for Peace.”

Those words are Latin for "grant us peace"

Mimi Lenox started this day in 2006.

Will you join me?

Tonight lets dream about Peace!

Tweedles, you wrote the most beautiful words about peace... showing us how nature can be peaceful and harmonious. I join you. I wish that I had known about this day ahead of time so I could have posted about it.

Sweet dreams of peace, Tweedles.

What a beautiful wish and hope. So tonight when all is still outside and the stars are shining bright, I will stand and look at the moon and wish for peace and send the tranquility that will be felt in that moment to those who are looking for it....

What a wonderful post, Tweedles! I can imagine all the things you mentioned. I wish the world were like that so we must work to make it happen.

Momma wears her peace necklace everyday. Whenever she gets stressed she repeats to herself "seeking peace" over and over again. She wants peace in the world just as much as we do.

hey Tweedles,

What a beautiful sentiment you have pawed! And such a gorgeous picture of you by the ocean! I think your heart is big enough to fill the world with Peace!!

I think it is time to take all our dreams of peace and start living them. If we all lived our wonderful dreams of peace and love, then the world would indeed become the beautiful heaven you describe.

Owww Tweedles! I agree with you, your words are filled with such hope and beauty! Dona Nobis Pacem - grant us peace! I believe if everyone thought like you that we would have peace on this turbulent planet, every day when I go for my walks I see the beauty of this world, the wonders that we have before us that nobody else seems to notice, the beauty of the sky at night with the stars that twinkle like diamonds, the blue of the sky in the day, the sound of the raindrops fall, the calm of the river and the strength of the oceans, the babble of a little stream, the chirping of the birds in the trees and the green of the grass, the reds and yellows of the fallen leaves like fire, the cold of the snow and the exquisiteness of the icicles, the sights and smells all around me make are so wonderful and there are people out there in the world that destroy it all! I am with you Tweedles lets join out puggy paws in search of peace! Love and Phugs forever Frank xxxxxx
