I Remember You

I remember you Mr Lion.
Do you remember me?
 Do  you remember
when I first looked at you?
You winked at me!
You were my first love,
and I kissed your precious nose!
Oh, I  remember when your ribbons
were all brand new,
and your furs were velvet soft!
I  remember when you had two eyes.
Oh I remember you.....
 Do you remember me?

I  remember how I carried you
 everywhere!
You were always by my side.
 And we snuuggled together
on  those dark and dreary nights!
I still love you  Mr Lion
with your hair all a mess
and kisses all over your face
and wrinkly red ribbon .
I love you.
Do you remember me?

A Red Yarn Ball

What do I hear on this dark silent night?
 Oh what can it be?

 I pondered sleepily as
as I lay snuggled under a thousand blankets.

I  thought I heard softness falling all around me.
I know the sound of softness.
 Oh yes I do!
Could it be snowflakes whispering outside my window?
They must be so majestic, I thought to myself!
I crawled out from under my patchwork quilts,
and I peeked outside the  window .
gazed at the magical  moonless night!
 I was in awee,
because everywhere I looked the snowflakes
were  big and fat and fluffy.

The snowflakes were so soft and gentle
as they  tumbled through the sky.
Soft and gentle, oh-h so soft!
They fell from the blustery sky
and then they tumbled onto the fluffy ground.
They fell like sparkling silvery diamonds.
Diamonds were everywhere!
It was the night before Christmas,
and magic was beginning to surround me!
It was the night when every furry and feathered winged friends
had snuggled into their nests,  burrows and beds.
It was a silent night.
Even the snowmen who had danced in the sun rays,
now had closed their eyes and  were fast asleep
 and were  s n o o r i n g  zzzzzzzzzzzzz!
It was the night
when every living creature was hoping for a miracle.
could not stop gazing at the falling snowflakes.
  How magical they looked!
I felt like  something was luring my heart to go outside,
and so that is what I did!
I ran down the steps and out the door of my old farm house,
and with a flying leap I disappeared into the snow.
I  rolled and tumbled like a little puppy!
I ran through the snow to the top of the hill
and I gazed all around me at the sleeping trees.
'How beautiful you are',  I whispered to the trees.
 'How very beautiful!'
 It was so very quiet.
I could smell the snow.
 I could taste it!
I wanted to giggle, but  'Hush',,, I said to myself,,,
'It's time for a Christmas miracle.'
'It's Christmas Eve, I sighed, It's Christmas Eve!'
And so I  stretched my paws into the snow filled sky...
Maybe I wanted  to touch a star
or maybe I just knew  that this was the moment I had been waiting for..
Suddenly I remembered the big red yarn ball
that my rabbit friends and I played with on summer days.
Oh the fun we had as we chased the rolling yarn ball
 down the hillsides!
I remember the daywhen my bunny friend Niblet,
and all the rabbits and I,
 sat by the creek.
Blue butterfly's fluttering around  our ears!
We giggled, and ate long stemmed baby carrots.
We made new memories to remember forever and ever.
I remember the time when we shared our Christmas wishes.
The rabbits told me how they wished for a yarn ball of their very own.
Just a little yarn ball was all they wanted to make some red mittens
for all the baby bunny's.
I nestled that wish in my heart where it stayed for a long time.

Then  one day when I was all alone in my big farm home,
 something happened.
I found a big fluffy yarn ball that had fallen from my moms yarn basket.
  It was perfect, just perfect.
I  ran with it into the forest and covered it carefully in a secret place-
with sticks and branches and moss.
I knew it was hidden perfectly!
No, I never told anyone my secret.
I had plans,,,
and I knew in my heart what I wanted to do.
But,,,,sometimes we must wait for the time to be right.
Have you ever felt that way too?
I knew I must wait for Christmas.
I wanted my gift to be special.

As I watched the snow flakes tumble from the sky,
I knew that the right moment  had finally  come.
It was snowing and it was Christmas Eve.

And so, with all my energy,
I trudged  up the hill  through the deep snow
until I came to that special place where I hid the yarn ball.
 There it was!
There it was!
With a mighty shove, the yarn ball started  rolling down the hill-
 down towards the rabbits hollow!
More and more snow continued to fall,
and the yarn ball became bigger and bigger.
It looked like it was rolling out of control!
Down the hills and through the  thickets
 the giant snow ball bounced
 and rolled!
Faster and faster the yarn ball rolled! Faster and faster I ran behind it!
The snow ball  made a soft wooshing  sound in the quietness of that moonless night.
 Then  suddenly without warning,
the big fat snow ball stopped at the entrance to the hollow.
It stopped so fast, that I plowed into it!
I shook the snow from my furs,
and then I asked myself  ' what's a Tweedles to do now?'
And so with all my might,,,,,
I pushed the giant snow ball into the hollow.

All of a sudden all the rabbits awoke from their sleep!
Dressed in their nighties and standing by the candlelight,
the rabbits eyes opened wider and wider!
T
heir whiskers twitched
as the giant white snow ball began to melt.
Puddles of melting snow lay on the ground
and suddenly
 before their very eyes-
they saw the white snow ball  turn from white,
 to
a red yarn ball.
Their very own red yarn ball !
With happy tails and fluffy ears--
the rabbits began to jump up and down
and they  clapped their little paws!
  Their Christmas wish came true!

Merry Christmas my friends.
My wish is that your wishes come true too.

Snowman Promises

Snow flakes were twirling around me
 like white  fluffy feathers!
My world had turned white,
 and magic was everywhere!
Little chirpy birds had snow flakes on their feathers,
and were singing their winter songs
of chik a dee dee dee.

And then,,,
I saw tracks in the snow- special tracks.
In an instant my memory raced
backwards
to a promise that was made
on a special day,,,,,, that  day seemed like yesterday.
Do you ever feel that way?
Do you believe in keeping promises?
I do!
It's you my friend!
 You remembered me!
You came back to me,,,
just like you promised you would!
You did not forget me!
Shall we make snow angels in the fluffy snow?
Shall we tumble and roll?
Lets tell each other our most secret- of  SECRETS!
Tell me about your world
tell me
tell me
tell me!
But right now-  lets enjoy this special moment...
lets dance.
 Let's dance in the snow,
and celebrate promises!
Let's celebrate today!
Let's celebrate your promise!
Let's dance in the moon light!

"Tummpity- Thump- Thump"

When I close my eyes,,,,
ohh I can remember my journey so clearly
It seemed like it was yesterday
when that little golden, leaf landed in front of me.
It swirled
 and
then gently lifted me into the wind!
I knew that soon I would be touching sun rays
 and little twinkle stars
 and find where magic lives!
I just knew it!
There was so much that I wanted to see and feel and know!
Yes, I found treasures and new wonders,
that will live in my heart forever!
But,  there  comes a time for journeys to end.
       Right?
And now, it was time to go home.

Happy moon beams were dancing everywhere on the dappled forest floor.
They looked like magic bubbles to me!
I wanted to dance with them!
But right now was not the perfect time.
     No, not yet.
'There is a time for everything', I told myself.
Sometimes other things are much more important!
Have you ever felt that way, too?

I knew this was the exact forest trail that would take me home!
I had been on this trail before, but this time- it looked different to me.
Ohh, how I was longing for my home in the forest,
where hugs and kisses were waiting for me!

I looked up at the soft shadows that were hugging the big  trees.
The shadows stood so still in the  darkness.

How I wished that I  could be like them, so strong and mysterious!

Deep, deep  in the deepest part of me,
I could feel vibrations of a very familiar beating,,,
        thumpity,,thumpity,,thump.
The sound was coming from somewhere.....
       I wonder where.
       Which way should I go?
I held my breath as I listened closely.
I did not want to miss a sound.
I knew the beating was reaching out to me.
It was guiding me, just like so many times before.
I knew I must keep going
and so I shuffled my paws along in the quiet.
I stopped and closed my eyes as I listened.
The silence made time stand still,,,
      but for only a moment.

I could feel  my own heart beating so fast-
    from happiness, and joy!
Certainly this was the way home!

The only night sounds that I could hear
were the gentle trickles of the little stream,,
     yes- gentle trickles.
The bright rays of the moon
were glowing over the tree tops
and then I heard a ' hoot hoot hoot' in the distance.
Oh yes,  this is the way.
       I was certain!

     I wasn't afraid,
but I felt my bones trembling.
Has that ever happened to you?

The shadows could not scare me.
The darkness could not scare me.
No not me-- not  the Tweedles.
The keeper of the forest will never be afraid!
         Not ever!

   Thumpity,,thumpity,,thump.
A strong  feeling lured into my heart and was pulling at me.
   I trudged along
as the familiar beating became stronger.
I felt like someone was holding my paw and leading me.
.
  Ohh so carefully,
   I climbed over monster logs
and twisted roots and briars that lay everywhere in the gooey mud.
My paws were so cold but I knew I must go on.
I felt as though I had traveled to the ends of the earth.
Perhaps,
 just perhaps,,, I did!
My journey was not over yet,
  no not yet, but almost!
   You see,
there was still someone special that I must find.
Someone who lived in the forest
and whose heart  beat to the same rhythm as mine.
Yes, it was my friend Methuselah,, that is who I longed to see.
'Oh I must find him, I mumbled to myself.'

I stopped and sat on some squishy moss.
Oh, the soft moss soothed my heart,
like the warmest blanket that you can ever imagine.
I wiggled my toes into the moss,
while gazing into the star lit sky
I remember when I wiggled my paws in the moss-
    on warm summer days.
I sniffed at the familair sweet forest fragrances
of moss and fir boughs and the earth.
Oh so many memories had filled my heart to overflowing!

            Suddenly,
the glow from every star in the sky sprinkled down on me!
I was so overcome with  the brightness,
         that my whiskers twitched!
I looked up and watched the glow as it fell around me
       like millions of twinkling diamonds.

It was then at that moment,
when in the distance I saw the familiar branches lifting to the sky.
The branches were those of  Methuselah, the wisest, and most mysterious tree in the forest.
It seemed as though the branches were touching all the new stars in the sky....
     those special new stars.

I ran as fast as I could to Methuselah.
I placed my paws on his heart
and happy tears fell from my eyes.
I snuggled my ear on his trunk and I could feel the Thumpity,,thumpity,,thump
of our hearts as they beat together.
With pleading eyes and a quivering happy voice, I  whispered
       'lift me up Methuselah!
    Lift me up!'
In a sudden sweep of his strong branches
Methuselah- reached down to me and lifted me high to the tree top!
The beating of his heart comforted me like a giant hug,
    and I sighed.
His giant branches cradled me and I felt so safe.
       'Oh Methuselah', I said,
'even though stormy days have come your way-
            you are still strong!'
'You have not weakend, you have not fallen..
      You have not given up'.
You are still the most magestic, wisest tree in the forest'!

In silence the two of us watched the twinkles in the star lit sky.
I reflected on my journey on that magical leaf,
and how we twirled across the seas,
   mountains,
     jagged cliffs
    and deep dark holes.
I thought about the rhythm of Methuselah's heart beat
and how his strength guided me back to my forest.

    Suddenly
as the moon beams glowed brighter and brighter
I  looked up and saw a big golden eye wink at me.
It was Owlburt - everyone's friend in the forest.
      With a 'hoot hoot hoot',
Owlburt sailed over to me and hooted in my ear.
    'Your journey is over Tweedles,,,
    Let's go home!'.

And so it was at that magical moment,
        Owlburt outstretched his splendorious wings.
I climbed onto his soft feathered back- just like so many times before.
I layed my head on his neck and held tight to his feathers!
In a giant leap we were swooping across the sky,
and in the distance I  could hear
            thumpity thumpy thump .
I turned to wave goodbye to Methusula
and then I said '.let's go home Owlburt- let's go home.'
' Take me home to where I belong,
and then lets dance in the moon beams together..'

"Time For A Journey"

I am going on a journey .
 Giant leaves are falling everywhere!
Rain drops have touched the forest branches,,,
and
the forest is  so happy!

It's time to feel the wind in my face.
And,
It's time for the wind to tickle my ears!
If you see a happy leaf fluttering before yor
very eyes,,,
look very closely!
Because it's really me!

If you see a special cloud-
drifting softly,
and magically,,,,
just look closely!
Because....
it will be me!

I will be everywhere!
You will see!

It is my journey.
Now,,, it is time for me to step
 onto
this giant leaf!
 The wind is ready to
spin, and lift me high!

It is my journey.

My Biggest Wish In The World

I  had a wish to one day meet my best friend Tiffy from California.
  My dream came true.
Across the many miles and many mountains- Tiffy and her momma came to see me at my old farm house.
Tiffy was trying to sleep.
I asked Tiffy if  I could snuggle with her! I have never snuggled with a puggy before.
 It felt so good.
Now I know what its like to be snuggling with a friend.
Love feels so good.
Tiffy is dancing because it was her birthday!
I sang Happy Birthday as Tiffy danced!
Tiffy has buttyfly wings just like me!  We had so much fun.
Look at Tiffys cute face!  Tiffy looks so pretty in pink!
Tiffy and I are ready to play the butterfly game.
We are ready to flit and fly!
We will giggle and twirl!
Can you see our wings?
Tiffy had a peanut butter  birthday cake !
Tiffy was seven years old 7.
Birthday wishes were everywhere!
Tiffy (in the pink sweater) and I,  listened as the forest sang Happy Birthday!
The birdies sang too!
Can you hear?
My biggest wish in the world was to meet Tiffy- my BFF!
Love feels soo good.

Companys Came To See Me

I got a new toy today  .

I was not sure what to do.
Should I play or  should I  entertain my guests?

What shall I do?

Auntie Chrsty and Uncle Tim , Angel Payton's  parents, came to visit me at my old farm house.
They came from their corner of the world to my world.
They flew in planes and rode in cars to see me.
We ate some foods,
and then
we took a walk into my forest.
We were very quiet
and
Uncle Tim and Aunt Chirsty could hear the trees as they stretched their roots!
How cool is that?

Then we came home and  Auntie Christy and me  played with my toys.
Auntie Chirsty is gentle with my toys and me.
Uncle Tim likes to play too.  He is like a happy puppy!
   I like Uncle Tim's smiles.
Uncle Tim and Auntie Christie are like a magical pug whisperer!
I love them. They made me feel so calm.
Thank you so much for coming to visit me!
You warmed our hearts.
When I think of Auntie Christy and Uncle Tim,
I think of their puggy Angel Payton  who was brave and fought  PDE, and never gave up.
I planted this flower for Payton in the spring.
It still is blooming to this very day.
I will always plant pink flowers for Angel Payton.
