To Learn or not to learn

This is my diploma that I got for graduating. Of course my moms had a big party for me for all the learning I did. ( And that I did not give up.)

I sure felt like it sometimes. I just could not get comfortable to people touching me, but ya know it was okay if they looked at me. We just all learn different - and that was my level. So now I wonder what I should do about my decision. I think what I want to do is take a class in PLAY!

I think I want to learn some of the agility stuff right here in my own yard and give that a try. My bloggie friends are doing it- why not me? Certainly there is something I can learn.

What do you all think I should do? Learn or Play?

And speaking of learning,,,, YIPPY- I figured out how to get that HONEST SCAP AWARD on my bloggie- with a little help from my friends- who lent me a helping paw! So it makes me feel good. And that is part of life is feeling good- even when ya feel like given up!

Thank you my friends

Nity nite

I have been thinking lately that maybe I should continue my learning . But I am not sure I have enough time when I think about my priorities.

And what is the most important- to get a degree or have more fun time with my moms?

I was thinking back about when I went to puppy school and sat with the little babies. It helped me a lot- I do have to admit that. I was so scarred if someone even looked at me. My classes took 8 weeks- I think. And my moms drove 100 miles a day round trip to take me to school every Saturday. Everyone knew my name as soon as I walked into those doors at Pet Smart, and I got treats from all the trainers. I knew they were trying to make friends, but I was mostly interested in eating their cookies. I got a little confidence and pretty soon I was having a good time showing off. I was the only one who would throw their body down on the floor when I heard the word DOWN. And did I ever do it good. But one rule was I had to have a little rug- cause that cement floor was mighty cold on this naked chicken neck puggie!

I learned to look at the birdies in the cages and just sit and look at the other doggies in our circle. It was a good experience.

Good on ya Tweedles for learning! We vote for PLAY! That's more fun than learning, but wait...learning means treats & cookies, Play means well, PLAY!! Hard choice, we see what you mean!

We vote for play, Tweedles but we're not sure agility is all play! We think it takes lots of practice and hard work too!
Maybe you should keep thinking on it!

Love ya lots,

CONGRATS Tweedles!

Ugh...we vote play too! The PS classes are great (we did all 3 series of them!) but 100 miles round trip is craaaazy!!! You don't need a class to learn cool stuff now that you have the basics under your belt/collar...your moms can just build on what you already know and it will FEEL like play!

Congrats again! Great job!

Love,
Salinger

P.S. We agree about that cold floor! I wouldn't do my "down stay" unless mom brought a blanket for me! My teacher thought mom was crazy...but he had big doggies and didn't get how sensitive to temperatures we puggies are!

Wow! You got to go to school? You're so lucky. I never gets to go anywhere.... Do they even have kitty schools? I would like to learn how to shred the couch like a purrfessional!

Tweedles, I am so proud of you! I feel really stupid, and I am embarrassed to tell you... but Momma and I dropped out of our class at Petsmart when I was a puppy. Every other doggie was HUGE and they all made fun of me. One of the ladies asked Momma if I was 'supposed to look like that'... I guess because my face is smooshed in.

We got our feelings hurt and never went back! :(

You have been SO good to stick with it! I am so proud of you!

My dear Tweedles,

Congrats on graduating. We all learn differently and relate on different levels. I vote for play. You now have the basic commands so just enjoy your mom's. Are there no pug groups near you? When Kong and I lived in Washington we went to the Bellevue pug meet-ups and they were a blast! We are now going to our 1st one this Saturday in Ventura, CA. Meetup.com usually has groups just for puggies. Some (like Kong) run and go crazy and some just sit on their mom's laps and watch. It's a fun social atmosphere either way.

Conrgats on graduating. I say play. Maybe an agility course. Mom has been thinking about one for me, but she doesn't know if I would do it.
