"Tweedles And The Perfect Pumpkin"

The ground was frozen to a solid crispness.
While the moon grew HUGE in the dark sky, Jack Frost visited the Pumpkin Patch.
He left a blanket of white frost on every little plant, and flower.
All the green pumpkin plants have layed their heads on the ground and gone to sleep for the winter.
The plants will all awaken next spring, when the sun warms the soil .
I will be waiting, will you?

BUT , to my surpise, all that was left in the patch, was the pumpkins.
Big pumpkins.
Little pumpkins.
White pumpkins.
Orange pumpkins.

Everybody likes to go to the pumpkin patch and find the perfect pumpkin, right?
Look at all these pumpkins. How will I ever decide? Which one do I choose?
A tall one?
A skinny one?
A flat squatty one?
One that has more wrinkles than me?
They were all calling my name.
What's a Tweedles to do?

I was having a hard time deciding. I was looking for the Great Pumpkin.
They all looked great to me.

I felt like I was getting LOST!
All the pumpkins were calling my name, to come and look at them!
The pumpkins were singing!
I was twirling in circles!

Oh, don't let me get lost out here!

I think I am getting closer now, closer to making my decision.
As I passed by this little pumpkin, I asked "Hello, little pumpkin- you sure are a nice little pumpkin, would you like to come home with me?"

Here is the pumpkin that I picked out.
It's not the Great Pumpkin.
I did not find him.
But this pumpkin is just the PERFECT one for me.
It is just the right size.

I did not see the "Great Pumpkin."
Where does the "Great Pumpkin" live?
Do you think he lives in your pumpkin patch?
Aren't all pumkins great, no matter what color or size?
They are to me. I love all pumpkins.
I would like everyone of those pumpkins in that patch, to come to my house.
I would like to have a pumpkin party- and all of you are invited!
Tonight when I go to sleep, I am going to dream about all those wonderful pumpkins friends I made., and I hope in the morning they are all in my yard.
Nitey nite my friends
love
Tweedles

Tweedles, that is a super big pumpkin, you did a great job! We are going to choose ours soon also, I will blog about it. My Mommy and big Sis were busy making my house kind of spooky this weekend so I will show you pictures soon of that also. Ok I am jumping into the magic bubbly right now and on my way to the "Tweedles pumpkin party" I can't wait. Can we eat some pumpkin seeds?? Can we make them look like Sasha and Tweedles?? I will keep checking for The Great Pumpkin along the way. OOOOOOh by the light of the moon I will travel in my magic bubble looking for spooks and goblins. I will be safe in my bubble and will send them all away from my Tweedles so we can be safe and have fun. See you soon.

licks and sniffs and loveys, Sasha

I haven't visited the pumpkin patch yet but I will look for the Great Pumpkin when I get there. I hope to find the perfect Stubby pumpkin and I will bring it to your pumpkin party.

You sound just like me when I go to pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving the jack o lantern. Around and around I go over the pumpkin patch at the church, they have such a huge selection, it makes me dizzy! I think you picked the perfect pumpkin for you and your moms. It will be just great!

Oh, you are so lucky to get to go to the pumpkin patch. Your pumpkins are so pretty. We would pee on the pumpkins here. The great pumpkin lives in the TV on CBS close to Halloween he usually shows up at the 7:00 or 8:00 hour!

Tweedles, you look so adorable running through the pumpkin patch. Glad you made so many new friends. I love Fall and so domy 3 pugs too. I planted 12 different kinds of pumpkins this Spring and sad to say only 3 different kinds came up. The weather made proper germination in PA close to impossible. Hoping for a proper pumpkin patch for my puggies to run through next year!

Hi Tweedles, you picked a great pumpkin. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you woke up tomorrow to a whole yard full of pumpkins. We can always dream, right?

Oh Tweedles, when I read this part of your story...
Big pumpkins.
Little pumpkins.
White pumpkins.
Orange pumpkins.
And I saw you there with your green sweater on, I thought this is the perfect place for Tweedles to be searching for that one special pumpkin to bring home. And I do think you found the perfect pumpkin. I'm sure all of the other pumpkins in that patch would love to come to your yard, but I think some may have gone home with other little puggies, or other people. And I'm sure they're making their new friends just as happy as your pumpkin is making you!
