"The Puddy Kats and Me"

A light is always shining from the windows, of the old farm home.
And the stars in the sky,
are pointing in the direction of my home.
One by one the Puddy Kats have come.
One by one, they eat until their tummys are full.
One by one they decided to stay.
One by one they have said these words......
"I am home now"

This is my brother Hank.
Hank the Hankster.
Doesn't his face look like a cougar?
Hank came as a tiny baby, dumped in the woods to fend for himself.
Some bad irresponsible people did that to little Hank.
Hank would hide in the stickerey blackberrys bushes.
He hid in bunny rabbit holes.
He huddled in the pouring rain.
He wanted to trust us, but he just couldn't.
He was afriad.

As time ticked on, and the days turned into weeks,...
one day a miracle happened.
Hank let us touch him.
Hank let us hold him.
Hank let us scratch his ears and tummy.
One day he purrrred.
It took time.
Sometimes we just need a litte time to adjust.
Now Hank calls this "home."

This is Callie.
Callie Coo is what we call her.
Callie was old as the oldest trees in the forest.
Someone dumped her out in the pouring rain.
Another irresponsible person dumped Callie.
For days, Callie was trying to make decisions.
Decisions to trust.
She was very hungry.
Should she take the chance?
How hungry was she? She must decide.

And one day, Callie made the decision.
She wanted scratchys behind the ears and she wanted food.
But, what did she want most?
Did she want to be petted or should she eat first?
My mama's hands persuaded her, that she wanted the scratchys.
Mama's hand are gentle, who could resist?
Callie had to go to the doctor, and then she got nasty medicines.
Medicines to make her well.
Callie was still old, but she is well.
Callie and Hank are best friends.
Callie and Hank sleep together in a little box,
a little box that looks like a hen box,
where chickens sleep.

This is Lulu.
We call her Little Lulu.
One night in the darkest of night someone dropped Lulu out on the road.
The stars led Lulu to my home.
Oh,,, so hungry she was.
We made friends and then Lulu had to go to the doctor to get an operation and shots.
She wasn't too happy . She growwwwled.

Lulu has feline leukemia.
Lulu has been to the doctor many times, but she is fine.
Sometimes she has to go to the hospital, and stay until she gets better.
She always gets better.
Lulu is very loving and she likes to sit next to me on moms lap.
Lulu sleeps in a nice bed on top of the freezer in our laundry room.
She feels like a queen.
In the morning when I go outside for my morning trip to visit mother nature,
Lulu grabs my legs, and trys to chase me.

This is Burt.
Burts Bee's is his name.
Burt came to us a frightened teenager.
His ears were chewed up.
We made friends, and yes, he call this old house "home".
Sometimes Burt thinks he rules the roost and trys to boss the other Kats.
Burt also got an operation and shots.

Burt does not have a tail.
I don't know where the tail is.
I looked and looked.
I cannot find his tail, but it's all good.
Burt does not need a tail.
Burt follows me everywhere and trys to get me into trouble.
But and me,,,, well, we take walks in the forest together.
Sometimes Burt trys to get me to cross the creek.
But, I have not done that yet.
Sometimes he wants me to climb the tree.
I tried, but I am not a good tree climber.
At night Burt crawls up onto the roof top.
He looks in the bedroom windows, and he yeowls.
Then mom hurrys outside to bring him in,,,,, then I can sleep.
Burt calls this "home"
The little house on the hill is where they come one by one.

It makes me very sad that someone is heartless and dumps these kitties.
Sometime the bad people drop dogs too.
It's not right for any animal to be dumped and have their hearts broken.
I helped make these Kats happy.
And tonight when I go to sleep , I will listen to them purrrrrrrrr
They purrrrr the words "I am home now"
Nitey Nite my friends
love

Tweedles, you have our momma with the tears in her eyes. So many and many humans are not nice to kitties and they throw them out just like garbage. That is how we got our four kitties - all of them are rescues. We are so furry happy that you have so many kitty siblings. They purr so nice, don't they? Our momma puts her ear next to ours when they purr - she says that the kitties make music that soothes the soul.

Tweedles,

First off... Molly, bite your tongue. You don't want to trade Hanklin!

Oh, momma loves Hank and Callie. She used to have a tabby cat growing up that looked just like them. She lived to be 15. How sad that people would dump their babies like that. 'Course, we have Ms. Rini because her family wasn't "into her anymore". Stella is very very afraid of kitties, so she is most impressed that you hang out with them.

You have very wonderful mommies Ms. Tweedles to take in the fur babies.

We love you all!

Love your story about your kats. Cute kats they are. We have cats too, they are Taz, Elmo, Bijou, Miss Tiger Lily, Jack with no tail. We lost one named Sasha about a month ago. She lived with the neighbors cause she didn't really like the other kats. She was real sick so the vet put her down Really made us so sad. Oh, I forgot my daughter found a kitten on the way home from work. She is gonna get an operation too in the near future. People around the neighborhood used to call me the cat lady. I had more but they have gone to the Bridge. I can't stand people who drop off animals like that. Thank goodness there are loving people like us to take them in. Love ya little Miss Tweedles!

Oh Tweedles!!

You and your Moms have a heart of gold to help all these babies!!
My Mommy use to live in an old farm house when Grandma and Grandpa had to sell their other house.
People would always drop off kitties there too. Grandma was always taking in Kitties.
There is a reason that those little lives are put in yours and bless you all for taking such good care of them.
Tweedles, you are a good friend to them and I'm sure they don't even remember their old life and are enjoying their new ones.
Hopefully, those kinds of people will start to realize that it is wrong to do that! How could they sleep at night!
But, unfortunately, like these poor, lost animals...there are also "lost" people.
Hopefully, they too one day will find their way!!

Good nite little Tweedles,
Your are amongst lots of friends!
Love,

Oh Tweedles I am back and I am giddy with excitement. I can feel the magic coming back and I am getting the strength to come and see you soon in our bubble. I am so proud of you for making friends with these kitty cats. It is so sad to think of not having a home or especially a Mommy to love me. No pet should be without that.I have missed you and I knew you would never forget me, I was afraid a few of my other friends might, but they didn't and I am so happy that I am going to dance right now. Tonight I will dream and you and I will go off to magic lands where all pets have homes and none are hungry or sad.

love licks and sniffs, Sasha

Thank you sweet Teedles for introducing us to your cat family. How lucky for them to have you and your Mommys. Brigitte had a cat sister at her last home. Sluggo lived with a cat in his first weeks of life. They said they liked those cats. (Except Brigittes cat always kicked her out of the sunny sun) I have cat cousins, they live in the opposite of your farm, Manhatten.

Hi Tweedles!

I love this post. Your cats are
beautiful! I think they are all very grateful and happy you have told
their story, and spoken up for
them. I think all animals
need someone to speak on
their behalf.

Daisy and I hope you are having a
great week!

What a wonderful post! I had no idea you have that many cat siblings. They are truely blessed to have found a home with you and your mom's. Sometimes bad situations turn out really good. I can't imagine those kitties having a better life than living with you. Kisses to you all.

PS I love that rock bird bath. Did one of your mom's make it?

That was a nice introduction to your cat family. We don't have any cats because our Dad is allergic and starts sneezing when he gets near a cat. Our Mom would like to have a cat, but she has Dad instead.

Thanks for joining us on Bandana Day. We were happy to get to meet you.

Tweedles, we don't have any kitties here, but yours are all beautiful, even more beautiful because of how they got there. You and your humans are just wonderful to open your home and your hearts to the poor little abandoned furries. Hugs to all of you for doing that.

How wonderful to meet all your puddy pals! Your mommies are so kind and loving to give so many kitties a place to live. Wherever they were before I know they are much happier to be with you! And aren't you the lucky little girl to be the only canine among all of these felines? Do you ever wonder how they make the purring sounds? Magical isn't it? :)

hey Tweedles,

What a HUGE heart you and your moms have! Those poor kitties, being dumped by mean humans, and you and your moms took them in and gave them love and safety and comfort. Thank you for sharing your special story about your special kitty cat siblings! You are one cool pup, Tweedles!

Oh, Little Tweedles...I am so happy to meet your kittie family. Your moms are so wonderful to take these little friends in as they come along and take them to get them fixed at the vet. Kitties are like seashells...they are all so different, even if they kind of look alike. I like the thought of sleeping on top of the washer and dryer! Sounds like a nice, warm spot. Your yard is so pretty. I bet you like to spend lots of time out there.
