"It's A New Day"

A new day was peeking from behind the clouds.
I heard the breeze whisper Tweeeeedles.

I felt a gentle nudge on my shoulder,
as mother earth said "it's a new day"!

I lifted my eyes into the sky
and the sun kissed my nose!

"Come on Burt", I said to my bruther.
Let's go look for slimy salamanders!
Let's go look for snails!
Let's go look for croaking frogs and water bugs
It's a new day!
Let's go look for treasures.

I see a bunny hoping into the thicket.
I wish I could hop like a bunny.

I hear birds chirp, chirp, chirping.
I wish I could tweet a song, like a bird.

I can feel the sleeping forest awakening.
Familiar sounds and smells are all around me.
I will walk gently as the forest stretches and yawns.
Come with me and let's go search for treasure's!

Nitey nite

Hi Tweedles,
What an adventurous new day to explore. I hope you found lots of treasures. Your forest looks so green and fertile, I can't wait to see the warm Mother Earth beneath all the ice and snow. One thing is, she won't be thirsty!

I love your attitude, Tweedles. I wake up almost every day feeling that way - "look, a new day! Let's go explore the forest". It almost never lets me down.

The chickadees have been talking to me a lot lately. I arrived home from a walk today, and three of them sat on pine boughs chirping at me earnestly. I honestly couldn't figure out what they were saying. Maybe I'll know tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing your story, sweet Tweedles.

Awesome photos, Tweedles. Sure hope you found lots of Treasures in your beautiful new day!

Our new day didn't really have the smell of spring in the air. Our new day was more of a crisp winter wonderland.
