Tweedles Is Home!

All the wonderful doctors and nurses and technitions and phone peoples,,
at VCA Animal Hospital in Clackamas,
they  all made me betters and  helped to bring me home!
Dr. Petersen- my surgeon he saved my life  by giving me surgerys on my lung, and he gave me a new haircut.
The anethesia person gave me fresh air to breath.
and I am sop thankful!
I am doing good.  Yes, I did bark most of the way home- because-
- I am the Tweedles!
Sun rays shining on me after we got home.
The sun rays are kissing me!
And all the love from you my friends is flowing around me.
I feel it so much,,
and I want to say thank you
my moms feel it too!
.
its sooo good to be home.
Tonight mommy and me sleep in a new bed on the floor together- and we will watch the moon in the sky-- and think about all of you..
Always remmebers
the same moon that watches me sleep- watches you sleep too.

****update ****
Tweedles had a good nite. Her appetite is not so good- so we tempt her with lots
of good stuff.  Its hard to get her meds down her!

The surgery is due to a
LUNG LOBE TORSION
The surgery removed 2 lobes on the right side.
(we were told Pugs are one of the breeds this can happen to. )

I can feel the warmth of those sun rays; that photo is precious. I'm glad you are home, Twee. Enjoy the "camping" adventure in the living room. We used to do that with angel Payton a lot. Looking out the high windows and gazing at the stars was comforting. Sweetest dreams.

Tweedles, I'm so glad your doctors were finally able to figure out what was wrong and fix you. Now you just rest like a good girl (and give your mommas a rest from worry!) and get all better.

I love you more than the moon and the stars!

Wonderful news that you are home! You have to eat though. You are a pug and if we don't eat, that means something is terribly wrong. So prove everyone wrong and eat up!

Here's some unsolicited advice about eating. Many years ago, mom had a Yorkie who wouldn't eat like she was supposed to. Her vet said the smellier the food, the better to stimulate the appetite. Broths from beef, chicken or pork can be warmed up and added to dry food too. Broth is also a lot more affordable. However, the Yorkie also had some indigestion. Adding an antacid like Pepcid (especially if she is licking the air a lot) may help with appetite. As always, check with your vet first. Sometimes medications can cause upset stomach (Tallulah can't have certain antibiotics, Petunia is nauseated by anesthesia, Isabelle can't tolerate an anti-inflammatory pain med), so it's possible that the medications may be the problem.

We would love to donate a pair of custom made pajamas for the auction. We don't know the auction organizer, but she can email us at southernfriedpugs at gmail dot com.

Oh Tweedles, I'm just so happy the vet saved you!! I know your new hairstyle doesn't look great, but it needed to be done! I'm sure your appetite will come back!

Oh sweet Tweedles, we are so happy you are home but you gotta eat to make yourself strong. We don't get treats except apples and baby carrots but when Mommy has to give my medicine twice a day she gives it to me with pill pockets. They are soft and taste like meat and I, love them. Have you tried them?

I'm so glad that Tweedles survived. If you want to email me at bossdog AT roccoshouse DOT com I have a dozen or so recipes for dog "food" that might tempt her. I collected them during Leia's year of horrors with her vomiting, to try and tempt her into taking her medicine. She's a picky princess, so hopefully if it works for her it'll work for Tweedles.
