Let's Be Still And Listen

Today I heard some purpley coulds singing.
They wooooed and blewwwww across the skys.

Then I heard some trees groaning in the forest.
The trees were stretching their roots and wiggling  their toes,
and I heard them sway too.

Then I heard some crows cawwwwing
they said
'its a fine winter day
lets fly'!
And then I heard
their wings flapping!

I sat very still and listened
to see if anything else
was talking to me.
And suddenly I heard the stream
trickeling and spashing
on the rocks!

Do you sometimes be still
and listen?
What do you hear in your world?
Can you tell me?
Let's share our worlds!
nitey nite

tweedles
ps
and now i hear words from my friends that they
are helping me with an auction!
thank you so much!

Well peepz say that with their longer floppy earz, Beaglez like us Beaglebratz r real good at hearin'stuffz altho sumtimez mom sez we haz selective hearin'b-cuz we don't hear her. Anywayz, fer now, we just git tue b in our bakyard so we don't git tue hear a stream talkin'tue us. Az fer any birdiez talkin'tue us - mom sez we scared'em all away just like the wabbitz an'squirrelz BUTT we still listen fer'em. Sumtimez the silly neighberhood kittiez come in our bakyard BUTT they hardly haf time tue talk - when we c 'em then we want tue chase'em outta OUR yard an'they iz tue bizy runnin'tue talk. an'lately it iz sooooo cold an'we haz snow so we don't stay in one place tue long. We love to listen to our stream. Sometimes when I'm having acupunctures, I think of my stream, and I go into deep meditations!

We have been hearing lots and lots of winds here lately. All that cold air blowing its way across.

We haven't seen many birds with all this cold, we wonder where they all go and hope they are surviving OK.

We love you Tweedles. I love all that you heard in the forest. I love the deep quiet after a big snowstorm - that's my favorite winter sound. Oh, except for when the Robins sing in the middle of winter!

I sometimes think I "hear" more with my camera than my ears. This week though we have had very cold weather making Ice Quakes and let me tell you THAT you HEAR! Stop by and see the Kodee and Becky at Beyond the Dog Dish - I still right about them there - there are not gone!

It's fun to listen to the trees and the critters that live out there. We have Owls in the night. Our favorite is the frogs, but they don't start making noise until March.
Happy Listening,

We love hearing the roar of the ocean. We also like to sit and be still with our mom, especially when she has treats in her pocket. We can be very quiet then!!

It has been said that...
"If you want to hear the voice of God,you need to turn down the volume of the world!"
Thank you for encouraging me to do this, little Tweedles.
I 'hear' the love of bloggers, like you, in the silence.

Hi Tweedles, I love your poetry! I went snowshoeing on Tuesday and was very still. We humans have such a hard time being still; we could learn much from you.
Have a pawsome day!

Thank you for sharing the sounds you hear, Tweedles. I'm impressed by your ability to sit so still.

When I sit still, I can hear the sound of the radiators whistling and clinking quietly. I also can hear people's footsteps as they crunch through the snow in front of our apartment building. But then I hear the garbage truck pull up the alley and then I stop being still and start BARKING! :)

-Love,
Sid.

Thank you Tweedles! Reading this reminds me of the importance of just chilling out, and relaxing. Living in a fast pace city sometimes I forget. <3
