We're Gonna Miss You

The smell of the wild weeds and sweet black berry's drifted through my forest.
The sweet smells drifted down to my nose- and I lifted my face and sniffed.
Such beautiful days!
The golden colors of the falling leaves,,,,
all around me
told me its autumn,
 and I smiled.
Butterflys  had been fluttering  to and fro.
And the bumble bee's were humming their  buzzzing songs
just as they always did when they made honey.
Puddles of honey dripped from the tree branches..
Yes, I could see it.

From the bottom of the hill-
I looked to the top where I always remembered seeing her sit.
The sun rays would shone on her shiny black shoulders
as she washed sticky honey from her baby cubs furs.
She was the best mama ever.
She was the forests friend, a little black bear.
  She was my friend.
 Her name was "Peaceful".

"Peaceful" is now a new star in the sky.
She will shine on all of us.

I want to celebrate her life. I want her to be remembered.
"Peaceful "was friends with every furred or feathered creature
in my forest.
We can't forget her.
Her life was taken .
I have struggled with  not having the right words,
 and emptiness
but I know I must speak,,,
because
I am the keeper of the safe places where  my friends live.
They have no voice - I speak for them.
This is for you 'Peaceful'.
Shine on!!!  Glow!!!
We're gonna miss you.
love

 tweedles

Soft woos of sadness at this senseless loss of a beautiful soul in the name of "sport." Those humans do not consider that their fun destroys families and rips from our community members who add vibrance and spirit that enrich us all. We wish you peace, Peaceful, and hope you know that you were loved, are missed, and that not all humans have such bloodlust. Tweedles, we send you gentle nuzzles and strength to be the Voice that keeps others safe. You are not alone.

I'm sorry to hear that, Tweedles. Believe it or not but these things get me pretty emotional and I'm feeling with you. May she shine on in the stars and our hearts.<3

I'm so sorry to hear that Tweedles. We don't allow hunting on our 70 acres of land. At least there are some safe havens in the world.

I'm so sorry Little One. Man and Nature do not always understand one another as they should. I want to pick up your spirits, please go to tomandatticus.blogspot.com and read his latest entry about a surprise visitor they had. I think you will appreciate a family that "gets it."

Love, Gampy

So very sorry Tweedles. Bears are allowed at the bridge too as long as they are loved and Tweedles was loved.

A most beautiful and special post for precious "Peaceful." You've mourned her loss, and feel it, that's what makes you and your Mom's both so special. Peaceful will always be remembered here, and in the hearts of those like me who are feeling the sadness at this loss with you... Remember to keep finding the beauty in your world. Don't let the tragic end of "Peaceful" take away the spirit and beauty so many have found and see in their world because of you.

When I return home this evening, I'll send our magic bubbles to your world to keep it safe and let the peace return. Don't lose your voice in the sadness....

I'm so sorry Tweedles. I have bears here that I love but I can't protect them from humans. I wish I could. I wish that Peaceful were still with you. Perhaps one of her cubs will become a new forest friend for you. My sympathies and hugs.

Tweedles
you spoke so eloquently for Peaceful, we are so sorry your forest lost one of it's friends. One never understands the ways of the Forest. We just must accept the good and the bad and know another soul will be added to the great Sky above.

I'm so sorry, Little Tweedles. It's so sad that these gentle little fur folks leave this earth too soon and under circumstances that are not natural. Your words are so sweet. Kisses....
