'Let's go home now Tweedles.'
I heard the invisable voice say.
I looked behind me
but I could not see anyone.
'Who is there ?'
I whispered?
'Who is there?'
I said these words out loud!
I looked in the tree tops
and there was no one to be seen!
'It's been a good day Tweedles.
We danced in all of the mudpuddles in the forest,
and we played hippy hop
like little toads
Now all the birdies are beginning to peep!
and the sun will soon be going down behind the mountain.
It will be time to sleep very soon!'
My mind was full of wonder, but I was not afraid.
Nothing in my forest can scare me away!
Suddenly I heard the voice again and I looked beside me.
And there- standing right beside me - was my shadow.
My very own shadow!
'Let's go home now.
Come on, I 'll run beside you!
Let's look at the sky
and count all the stars
and look for the brightest
of all!'
And so we did.
My shadow and me!
'Hurry!
Let's go home.
Let's snuggle under blankys
where we will be safe and warm!
Let's peek out the window
and
whisper nitey nite
to the smiling face in the moon.'
nitey nite
love

Shadows only talk to the very bravest of "owners" Tweedles. You should be proud of how confident and at peace you must be!

That is awesome Tweedles! I love my shadow, it is always there when I need it. When I am scared, it lets me know "you are not alone, I am here with you". We love to run together and then just collapse giggling. I am so glad you have a shadow to play with, just like me.

OMP Tweedles, speaking of going homes, tonights Mum took Sam to the little trail down the street from our house. We call this area "the little greenbelt" Anyways after walking the trail Mum saids to Sam "let's head home now". It was dusk and getting quite darks. All of a sudden somethings flew above Mum's head. About a foot above her. She startled for a second then heard the thump of soft wings. Then a large bird landed abouts 6 feet in front of her on a dead old tree branch abouts 8 feet off the grounds. Mum was shocked to discover it was an owl!!! They stood and watched the owl twist it's head back and fort for abouts 5 minutes. All of a sudden it took offs and glided abouts a foot off the ground heading away from Mum to the shrubs and ground covers. Then it disappeared into the bushes. OMP Mum said is was so very magical. The sound of the wings beating was so soothing. We have only ever seen an owl in our area 1 other times during a snow storm. Tonight it was so very windy and stormy. I wonder if they take refuge in the trees by our house during bad weathers. I was walking with Dad so I did not see the owl. Mum and Sam headed homes after and all Mum could thinks about was the magic of the forest and all it's creatures. I knews that I had to tell you this story as you are the keeper of the forest.
Luv Winston
I love your stories, Tweedles!
